Its not that hard to get use to. I have a 2011 chevy cruze that has it on the drives side, a 2004 GMC duramax that has it on the drivers side and a 2010 camaro SS that has it on the pass side, not a big deal, at least never thought of it being a big deal....

On the 2012 Cruze it's on the passanger side.

I like it on the passenger side, don't have to worry as much about smacking something with the long door.
