It definitely raises the cool factor

It's Saturday and the transport will arrive in about 4 days to pickup Chakita and take her to Tracy. So spending the day getting her cleaned up. Glad I arranged for the enclosed transport since we may have a hurricane near Texas by next weekend. Gotta love summertime weather. Lol...

Wil post a pic or two in a bit.

Yep can't wait!

Yellow_Glide, you going to have the car ran at the track by Tracy to see times? I'll drive down 5 hours to see that for sure if you do.

Since the manual V6 diff is the same as the SS, wouldn't the axles be the same as well? Stock SS axles seem to hold up fine for 4-500rwhp.

Higher compression? Lighter weight?

Can't - I would love to see that as well. Maybe we can find a local spot and make few passes. That would put the nay sayers to rest - dyno sheets and track slips.

I'll leave the driving to Tracy for now as I don't want to embarrass myself. I got yelled at many years ago at the track: basically he questioned my intelligence level, the relationship between my father and mother, mentioned something about going in a a straight line and how his 4 year old had more driving ability.

Think the piston upgrade is to lower CR for the boost.

Rear diff should be fine, there may be a gear swap this winter....

I'm waiting on the stroker kit.

I thought I had read theywere doing the pistons for one of the TT guys. Don't see why you couldn't go the other way and raise it. Hmmm 12.25 to 12.5 would be a good start.

Good idea to raise it but it would be much cheaper and easier to do it by milling the head and optimizing squish with gaskets rather than pistons.

Good question, I will have to look into that for sure.

Yes Tracy is suppose to be releasing some pistons sometime in the near future. Lower CR for FI and lighter more durable. I have 2 bad pistons, the price of being one of the first to go FI and tuning the LLT. But the car is still kicking a lot of V8 butts.

The trip will be well worth seeing your N/A beast shred the track up. I'm subscribed to follow this progress for sure. I will be traveling to the shop soon so I should see your car.

Agreed. There are numerous tricks with milling / gaskets. I was being the opportunist thinking about the better rotating assembly. Last time I got deep into it was my V-twin build a couple of years ago.

Hmmm. where did I put that Denish book?
