I think that applies to almost any car now a days. Its either riced out or becomes a garage queen.

I personally am on a lifelong mission to keep the Camaro where it belongs.

Relatively new Camaro owner currently from Canton, Ohio reporting in to the Ohio thread!

I grew up in Indy and wish I could have made the fest... just got my Camaro to late to change my work schedule!

Fest was alright. IMO didnt hold a candle to Valdosta. Maybe because it was still new then. Who knows. Most of the cars I saw were ugly. People have taken it WAY TOO FAR to be "original".

Sometimes you have to take a step back and say WTF did I do? I went WAY too far.

I missed my car this weekend. Not at fest but during the drive up. I ride shotgun in Cybil but it wasn't the same. Not that my car would have been anything special there. It had all the factory lighting and only had performance mods. How boring.

Just sent... don't want to offend anyone.
That is messed up man... haha. I am obviously not a woman I just love the mechanics, engineering, science that goes into creating an engine that cant literally withstand explosions of that magnitude.

That and it was just bad ass.

This was my first Camaro Fest. That being said I didn't have a reference point to measure this event against. I really expected it to be more than what I experienced on Saturday. The track wasn't nearly as packed as I thought it would be. Requiring $100 to run my car down the track was ignorant IMO! The hotel parking lot was, sad to say, packed with every colored blinking light known to man! I'm surprised that airport security didn't come over and have them shut down before a plane landed in the hotel parking lot. To each their own, but I only wish if lighting was their craze that they would light up something different than a Camaro! Maybe my car will be worth something in the future if I hold on to it. It will be one of a small number left that actually runs like a muscle car and not some blinged out POS.

My name is JD and I approve this message

No dude, Darth Emma is a woman. You called her man. She's usually Johnny on the spot correcting people for accidentally calling her a man.

I approve that message too.

Was a little disappointed in the event, but was glad to be around the people there. Too bad the rain cut that short. I would have liked to have done the drag strip & autocross, but for the price, there was no way.

You are the only one who brought it up, Johnny. I don't know what I've done to piss you off this time.

Ok, just so we're all straight here:

Darth Emma's a Woman

driyac's a Dude

And IROCanSS is Johnny

Got it.

Now, I never got the answer to my question, Who won "the one"?

I crapped out early all three nights, first two cause I wanted to get up early and to the track, Saturday cause I couldn't keep my eyes open. (even with the disco lights everywhere)

JD, I think the track scene and the definitely the hotel parking lot was more exciting on Friday. Did I miss something, you ran your car on Saturday??

Mike-- Jamie won "The One" and the contest. Though JD thinks he was robbed by the judge. It was so hard for me to choose a winner with so many rainbow-colored Camaro catastrophes to choose from!

Aside from the people who drove through Xmas lights on the way to fest and put our cars to shame, Fest was a good time. As always, it was good to see the usual suspects and meet a few new faces along the way. Definitely looking forward to the next group event.

I left Indy about 9am and came straight home and moved into my new house. Thankfully I have the best dad in the world and he surprised me by moving nearly all my stuff while I was at Fest. And now the Camaro has a garage to sleep in. All is well.

OH and Pat has the photo of Drew so I'll have to get it from his phone.

Just realized I never posted here on local threads....

Hi, I'm Leo and for the past 3 months I've been having an affair with Stacy, my beautiful '12 SS/RS.

Been living in Cincinnati for over a year now. I see very few Camaros around really - quite a lot of 05-09 mustangs tho. The only guy I saw and remembered their plate was MIKE B RS. no idea if hes even a member here. Also recruited 2 guys from the gym but not sure if they actually joined.

I'm not pissed at you. I was simply correcting him. He called you man. You are not. Otherwise I am only stating facts.

I've noticed people refer to you as "man" or "he" and you are usually pretty fast to correct them.

I also noticed the one time I saw your car race, it had a shitty launch. I am sure it was the driver learning the car. Whatever. Believe me, most people had a hard time launching these boats.
