Cam...

So I am looking at doing a cam on my L99. I have a Circle D 3000 RPM Torque Converter installed already. I called Comp Cams and they recommended this cam (which I have attached cam spec sheet which could be seen below). I am just curious if anybody has ran this and if there is a dyno sheet available. I want to see how this cam looks across the board. I have a goal in mind that I would like to achieve when doing a cam in the L99. I will be doing the LS3 conversion, trunion upgrade, melling oil pump, and heads if they fit the budget. That goal being mid 400 range without losing too much torque down low, the camaro is a fairly heavy car which needs some grunt down low to get it moving. I'm not sure how much drivability is effected with an aftermarket converter either. I understand that this may be a hard goal to achieve once everything is considered (drivetrain loss, crappy fuel in az, high temps, and a strict budget). I am open to suggestions, however all I ask is that if you have a cam that might fit my criteria please post a dyno sheet, and maybe give me some information on how that performs. This car is driven 95% on the streets, though its not driven much at all. I thank everyone for looking at this thread and giving me your thoughts.

I just did the converter yesterday. I am very pleased with how it drives on the streets. I have the multi disc one and you can tell when it locks. The RPMs drop like it has grabbed another gear. Do a trans cooler when you do the converter. It was 116 yesterday in phoenix and my temps rose to just a hair above 180* in traffic and back down just under 180* on the freeway. I will say that you will need some drag radials to achieve full benefit of the converter on the track.
Are you going with that cam that I posted specs for?

I am doing a Circle D multi disk 3200 stall.

I was recommended a 225/235 Comp Cam by the shop i am going through. I have no clue about cams, i just explained what i wanted and they recommended one to me.

Are you installing yourself or having a shop do it?

A shop will be doing all of my work.
