This is what I received today about the Marshall cruise Saturday.
Hello All Car show Enthusiasts! It's hard to believe summer is almost over and school and college will be upon us. This Saturday, August 11, 2012, will be the Backroads Bunch and Marshall Main Street cruise night in downtown Marshall. There will be lots of activities going on downtown, through out the day. This Saturday Marshall Main Street will have a Giant 160 ft. long water slide free to the kids to slide down. It will be open from 9:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. There will be other childrens events going on from 10:00 -2:00 p.m. as well. We will have our music throughout the evening, plus the restaurants and downtown shops will be open for your convenience. After the car show there will be entertainment at Telegraph Park featuring Anthony G. Parrish and Friends. As in the past, we will have our great door prizes and if we have plenty of cars, we will have 50/50(cold cash) if you are interested. Again this past month, we had another record breaking amount of over $200.00 to the winner. Congratulations to Terry Hester for winning the Beta Sigma Phi and Backroads Buch car quilt!! Remember cruise night starts at 5:00 p.m., but come early! We really appreciate everyone who helps us, it's a big job, so THANK YOU to all our sponsors, volunteers and Marshall Main Street. Well my wife wants to go to Marshall so I guess thats where we will be. We want to go see some friends anyway...all dependent on the weather of course.
