The inventory manager is off this week, so I called the 800#. I talked to Mark, he was nice, and told me he has had many calls on this car, so he gave me a case#, he also told me the dealer was the best source for information. He put me on hold and checked with the order statis dept. he told me, my Camaro was "Submitted to Production", does the mean code 3000?

Yeah, she told me Friday she was gonna be off all week but working from home. She also said that now that she has the VIN she will track the car all the way to their doorstep.

I gave up on the 1-800 number as soon as the told me I was in QC, really nothing else to do now but wait and see how long I am stuck for.

I'm still waiting for Colby to confirm if it's the right car, but I found my exact car on the VIN tracker.

Unless someone else ordered my exact car with the California Emissions (which I asked them to remove), this is my car. Very exciting.

What did you change on your order, was it the Hurst Shifter? I asked my Salesman to double check my RS package on my order, he told me I am at 3000, and the RS package is still on there, I had to remove the colored engine cover due to constraint. I really hope my car comes the way it is ordered , My salesman told me I should get mine by Sept, I think he is just being safe, I am thinking July

Yeah... removed the Hurst shifter, than had them reprint my Workbench. Was on there, now it's not. However. I had no control over the situaltion.

With any luck I should be hearing from them soon on the new order, not expecting much though. Haven't really thought about it much since I heard the news. Went from a week to taking delivery... to, who knows when it gets ordered again. A little frustrating, but I know I am not going to settle for what I didn't order.

If GM gives them an extra allocation this month for the re-order, everything should be fine. If not... I'm not 100% sure what I am going to do yet.

BTW Gratz Erased!!!

I guess you will be getting a ride in the EVO instead of the Camaro.:(

I suppose the good news is that the new wait won't be nearly as long. Too bad you can't get some special front-of-the-line hook-up like some people.

As for getting a ride, if it's at all inconvenient for you, I'll let someone from O'Rielly get me. I'd much rather inconvenience someone to whom I'm about to give $40k than someone who is just being a nice guy.

I just got the call. My car is at the dealership.

Unless I can work a miracle, I won't be able to get out there until the 12th or 13th. :upset:

I don't think I can wait that long knowing it's at the dealer. I'm going to work some miracles.



Edit: Miracles worked. I'll be there this Saturday to get 'er. Now I just have to fight with them about the introductory pricing.

Ordered a 1SS IBM Auto on 5/18/09. Albert at O'Reilly's said I would have to wait until Sept-Oct. My order # is NKFBZB, they seem a little reluctant to give me any workbench info.

Gratz erasedgod! that's awesome, what did you order? I could pick it up for you azburk, my salesman is the same way, I guess we can't expect them to be as excited about our cars as we are. I ordered on 3/31 and I am at 3000.
