I did a search and could not find even though it has been posted, but how many Camaros did they build on the first day of production? What was the last of six digits of the VIN?

I am not sure what you are trying to get at. There was a lot of fanfare, picture taking and babykissing kinds of activities going on the first actual day of production so I wouldn't think that output was that great. I don't remember ever seeing specifics though. You might check through the thread with the pics from that day. Some members were invited.

I think I saw a post that day that said 125 cars came off the line on the first day of production.

Found this on the homepage, under March 2009

We were very productive, building 150 camaros just TODAY alone
and 150 in just paint. Im sure bodyshop built more than that!

Dont worry folks, you will all have your cars very soon!
Ps: There are talks of overtime on saturday mornings to help fulfill the orders as soon as possible!

They built somewhere around 125 but not a one was deliverable. To this day some of those cars are still in quality hold.

Hylton can correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that we were told that about 150 cars actually rolled off the end of the line on March 16th. That's not an exact number. Only GM knows. But it's kinda a moot point since they had several hundred already produced and waiting in the railyard prior to March 16th. To this day no one has been able to confirm if those were dealer cars, Avis cars, customer cars, CTF cars. And yes, many of those and many others produced in the first few weeks are still apparently sitting in Oshawa on QC hold.

I read they produced 150 on day one.
Mine is #117 and is still in QC!!!

Mine is vin#72 and 150 camaro's were built the first day..
