Unless you are there you don't know. Don't care what your books are telling you.

Yes I'm aware you have experience. Do I care? No. Stating facts from personal experience.
then say that when you took off your mufflers and went back to the track you ran a slower time. you chalk it up to removing the mufflers but you also realize correlation is not causation and there are 100 other factors at play in these scenarios.

also, backpressure is BAD. one does not need to be all knowing to understand what backpressure is BEFORE spreading false information.

Done and I can say it sounds amazing and deffinately feels faster because of the sound it feels like it can breathe better this is deffinately how it should come from factory . I think if the cats and resonator were taken off then it might have some issues with back pressure but i dont think it needs those junk muffler coffins

removing the cats will increase power every time.

we are not driving 1.6 liter four cylinders with 5 inch exhaust. our engines are a fair amount of big and the 2.5 inch dual exhaust is downright restrictive with the cats and exhaust manifolds in place. the mufflers don't make it one way or the other. still too much backpressure in the exhaust.

remove the cats and you still haven't reached potential. put on long tubes and you still gain power....

you aren't going to screw up flow with any of the available bolt on modifications available.

Fine, I'll say it. It's against the law to remove your mufflers but that did not stop me....

Hehehehe here is the TEXAS state law:
§ 547.604. MUFFLER REQUIRED. (a) A motor vehicle shall be equipped with a muffler in good working condition that continually operates to prevent excessive or unusual noise. (b) A person may not use a muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device on a motor vehicle.

There are also federal laws against it

Nope I amended this law years ago and they have laws for things like not mowing your lawn in shorts on a Tuesday and that's only in noise ordnance like big cities lol

It's pretty loud when you get in it, but at idle it's only slightly louder, as the comparison in the vid between the two shows.

Yep, well, 44.7mph to be exact officer! You can hear the tires spinning like crazy when I hit the gas.... to approach 44mph

I'm pretty sure that the "backpressure" issue is a carburation thing, in which case some backpressure is needed for the scavaging effect, and I don't think it is really relevant to fuel injection.

The difference you experienced at the track was probably minimal, and then nonexistent after driving several miles post-muffler delete. Your car adjusts to the slight change in exhaust flow but it is not immediate and takes a bit to adjust. As you see in my vid, you can observe an increase in smoke after the delete was done, but goes away after driving it a while; another temporary effect.
