Here's a link to one of my threads concerning exhaust options. I got some really good advice especially from jkupa10:

Welcome too C5 & congrulations on the new wheels. Just take your time and figure out what you want. If you go to some car shows or cruises you might get to hear a few of them running in person. Once you start mods it's a bad sickness. Good luck check out my build, made COTW sorry car of the week on members journal, and I received a lot of help from Camaro owners.

I am waiting on my 2013 to get here, I think I am going with the MRT version 2.0 exhaust. They have version 1 and version 2, from what I understand version 1 is only louder at idle but when your driving and getting into it they are both the same. Heres some links to it I hope this helps. There are also several people on here that have gone with this exhaust nd are extremely happy with it

I think I'd stick with a new V6 versus going with a used V8. The prices for a used V8 are still more than a new V6. You'll get your new car, better gas mileage and still get over 300 hp. you've got plenty of time to get an SS in the future...

And this is coming from an SS owner...

Enjoy! and don't forget to post some pics of your new baby
