I say it can legally, technically, or actually be called an oxcart, a fruit fly, or a bird of paradise if one wants to.
i agree that camaros and mustang, challengers today are muscle cars. most people call them muscle cars. its the guys who think to much about the subject who get all technical about a simple idea.

but here is where i soft of disagree. the v8s are much more "muscle" then the v6s. bottom line.

I agree entirely... and I'm probably aiming my theory on verbiage towards those who argue that even the V-8 Camaros are not muscle cars. And again... those who scoff at the idea that it's an exotic forget that even my lil' ol' six gun is an alien from outer space that can fly and turn into a robot destroyer of other aliens. Sure, I wouldn't try to hang out with a bunch of Ferrari owners, Lambo drivers, or Bugatti pilots and try to be one of the fellas, but to the eight year- old neighbor kid, it's the most exotic car ever.

You should try and edit that to be one long run-on sentence. That would be cool.

I wore briefs today. They're not very comfortable. I prefer boxers, or better yet... boxer-briefs. They provide the perfect amount of support and comfort. I will throw these briefs away when I get home. The girl next to me keeps starring at me because I'm scratching my nads an unusual amount today.

This 1966 Pontiac GTO is an example of a classic muscle car

Muscle car is a term used to refer to a variety of high-performance automobiles.[1] The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines muscle cars as "any of a group of American-made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving."[2] A large V8 engine is fitted in a 2-door, rear wheel drive, family-style mid-size or full-size car designed for four or more passengers. Sold at an affordable price, muscle cars are intended for mainly street use and occasional drag racing.[3][4][5][6] They are distinct from two-seat sports cars and expensive 2+2 GTs intended for high-speed touring and road racing. Developed simultaneously in their own markets, muscle cars also emerged from manufacturers in Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere.
I cant tell if your contradicting his statement or agreeing with it.

Exotic? Laughable.
Exotic not if you live in Beverley Hills, but it is if you live in Natchez Louisiana it is Exotic.

I think his point is perspective, what your Camaro is to you and others is based on perspective.

So I'd go with "Muscle Car" sub genre "Pony Car" and place Camaro in that group. Still a muscle car, but slightly different than your Chevelles, Novas, or Impalas.
