Oil filter wrench is not needed on the V6. The filter is on the top side of the motor and uses a 24mm socket wrench.
Be sure to replace the filter cap at 18.5ft lbs.

OP, I use ramps when I change my oil, as it is the safest (to me) option for getting under the car. I use Mobil 1 and a wix filter. NEVER use a cheap filter. An "expensive" filter will only cost you like 10 bucks. I have personally found Fram filters leave filter media in the oil (which is bad).

Mobil 1 with Wix filter for me. Drop the $10 at your local parts store for the oil pan, gojo, shop towels and funnel bundle if you're just getting started and you don't have the stuff.

I put the ramps at Garage door edge. When you start to drive up, the ramps don't slide, plus it gives you shade to work in. Shade is good, especially here in Texas!

Mine were inside the garage plent of shade in there

I need some 2x4's to put against the wall and ramps to keep from sliding
