Agreed. Our's is a freakin' nightmare. There's an 11 SS coupe in my garage and it's hard to imagine they are the same model year.

Tram, I just want to say I feel for you and hope you get the "car" that you want, which is a Camaro convertible that is free of defects!
I had my top replaced in May and had to leave the car overnight, my first question to them was will it sit inside or out and was told it would be inside, I have to admit I checked...............and they left it inside. I could just picture it sitting outside with the top half installed.............I just can't imagine how I would feel if I was in your shoes but I know I wouldn't be happy!!
Since replacement I have had no problems and the rub marks don't seem to be coming back (my first one had a hole). I did have to take it back for a minor adjustment but that was it. I feel lucky and wish that everyone could have the same experience that I did.
You deserve the car you bought and nothing less.

Car was moved to local trim shop that replaced the top to replace the water management bag today. Then back to the dealer to have carpet replaced. GM cust service called to say they were able to talk to the dealership today and has requested ALL the records about this car... and will be in touch. The BBB has also sent be a bunch of legalese that I have to wade through. Today makes 30 days that I have been without the car.

What a nightmare... I stare longingly at Camaros from the Malibu they loaned me. A car that I have kept dry even through a hurricane.

I would be very leery of the trim shop doing the water bag replacement if they didn't reinstall the original one properly in the first place. If I were you I would request the trim shop does a wster test with the back seat and back interior panels out before they release the car back to the dealer. The front drain tubes and front upper fold of material, if not placed correctly are commonly the source of the leak. Search my threads for the pics of old water bag vs. new water bag.

Read your thread. This new bag was replaced without taking the top off the car. They are stumped as to where the new drain tubes go. So far the dealership hasn't been able to give them instructions.

Don't be surprised if they try to offer you a couple of dollars of hush money and then expect you to deal with the car. With the rapid decline in value for the convertible model it is better for their bottom line.

Learning this stuff is all part of being a Camaro enthusiast I guess. That I have to do it under duress sucks. That link is the best explanation of the water management system I have see to date. Problem is the new bag installs a little different. Still a good read for anyone having water issues inside their cars.

I haven't had any yet, but I kept that link "Just in case". Thanks again.

tramtwo...I'm going to take pics for you this morning for the new drain location. Sorry it took so long. I'll let you know when I finish and I'll post them on my thread link above. By the way, they have to remove the top to replace the water bag. At least, that is what the GM Engineer did to my car while I personally watched them. I don't see how they can replace the top or the water bag without removing both of them. They must have upset your water bag when they replaced your top. Or they moved something on the water bag while they had their hands and tools down in the body cavity to remove the top.

Thanks. Water bag installed and dealer has the car again. Day 36 and counting for the repair of this new leaking top. Last contact with dealership I was asked if I knew where the third brake light assembly was. Now they are misplacing pieces.

I'd start interviewing attorneys. This is only the beginning, man. It gets worse.
