I doubt very much that you will get that covered under warranty, or have to use your deductible since unless your deductible is very low the repair costs should not exceed it.

As for the keyhole delete there was a member here that found or made a cover that went on in place of the key hole and looked exactly like the passenger handle.

Try this, it is the link to the keyhole delete thread. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61034

If the cover doesn't suit your needs then check out www.smoothlock.com

This thread is a good example why our society is headed down the toilet.

Some low life thief damages my car, so let's see, I'll try and get the dealer (because they're "pretty cool") to lie for me and pass the cost on to everyone else, without the slightest bit of awareness that my actions are no different than the thief.

Welcome to the new America where honesty is for suckers and integrity is a thing of the past.

Almost no one is that stupid.
Sorry, the sarcasm went right over my head.

Wow morality monitors all over this thread like white on rice. It SUCKS that someone messed with your Camaro, and I hope that you can figure out how to mod it up so you don't have that problem again.
Meybe a mugger was going to try mug you and wifey by slowing you down as you entered your vehicle not realizing you'd unlock it with your fob. Anyway glad there was no violence done upon your person although I can't say the same about the dykwad who messed up your ride.

Where the $&@) was that bar?
Ask the manager to give you cctv images, talk to the local sheriff, and make a bait with your car again...put those criminals in jail....

USE IT OR LOSE IT.
The warranty costs so D@mn much because of people who submit fraudulent claims.

DON'T USE IT UNLESS IT APPLIES.

Edit: You were being sarcastic. Nevermind.

What exactly is the factory defect?

Your options are to either pay for it yourself, turn it into your Insurance, or find the person who did it and make them pay.

Well it could have been worse... Thankfully they didnt get the car, or break a window... Did your car read "THEFT ATTEMPTED" on your screen?

Yes it could've been a lot worse, I'm thankful it wasn't.

Nope didn't read theft attempted

Really? That has nothing to do with a gm quality issue.
