I contacted the dealer yesterday to see if they could request the unit be marked "HOT" for expedited shipping since it has been built & bayed since 9/5.

Is there any way to tell if they did this? Should I just contact Customer Service? Guess it couldn't hurt.

There's no way for me to tell, but calling customer
service won't hurt - let us know what you find out

You should be able to get the railcar # now - here's
directions in case the dealer doesn't know how to do it.

If you have 4200 status , your dealer can do the following to get rail car number

Log In GM Global Connect
go to Order Workbench
Manage Inventory Tab
Select Vehicle Order Inquiry
Enter Order #
Click on the order #
Scroll down when the info comes up
Click Event History
Scroll down and there should be a*
rail car # listed with a 4200 status.*

OR

Your Dealer can call the GM Dealer Business Center and get it also

AFTER you have your rail car information:

877-744-7279
PROMPT #5

Say location

Becky,

This information/service that you are providing to people that have not even ordered a car from you is absolutely amazing. There are some Dealerships out there, that after you have ordered a car won't even give you the time of day.

This service that you are providing helps the GM community and the bottom line and should not go un-noticed. If GM was smart they should give you and your Dealership an award for this type of service.
