I completely agree.

time to grow up and check yourself..

I was a PITA when I was in my early 20s as well, had several run ins with the local PD and 2 specific officers all the time.

at some point you have to realize it is not the world against you, it is you against the world..

took them confiscating my motorcycle and selling it at auction, an 18 month license suspension, $6,000 in court fines and 200 hours of community service for me to open my eyes and change my ways..

been over 20 years since I have had any type of moving violation ticket, (that incident was the last time), I've been pulled over for equipment stuff, tint, exhaust, no front plate, but usually I am only given a warning..

like I said, time to grow up, and take a long hard look in the mirror at that guy on the other side..

Honestly, I am 25 and have not got harassed at all by any police officers; I actually got complimented by one. However, there was no need for the one officer to come out and say "Fing Tow it!” That would make me very angry as-well if I heard that. Also, officers are capable of harassing people, I'm sure many on this site have fell victim to this at least once in their life. My father was an Officer and he said some of them are the most crooked individuals you'd ever meet. I know where I live there was an article in the paper about the police officers beating individuals up for no reason "caught on tape!" My brother-in-law who is a correction officer always knows when somebody comes in beat up to his jail that it was from the Officers of this town. Also this guy sounds like the type who would probably argue with the police to make it worse. However, if they needed 3 Police vehicles for just a car in the parking lot? Then I have to say to everybody who says they have better things to do? If they have better things to do, then you don’t need 3 vehicles for one guy in a car burning rubber. Just my two cents.

I own a store in a shopping plaza that is owned by a privately held company BUT is patrolled by the local LEO. The same rules apply in the parking lot as they do 100 feet away when you drive out onto the main street. You act like a jackass you will get pulled uover.

I mean, come on, I drive one of the most standout "look at me" Camaros there are and I have passed many cops. One almost every time I take the car out but yet to have been pulled over.....just sayin

This thread is a waste of internet space. Personally think the OP's story is so biased that it makes Fox & MSNBC look like the most fair news networks known to mankind.

The only people that hate cops are those that partake in stupidity and get arrested by the cops. Act like an a$$hole and you'll get treated like an a$$hole.

i do give the OP credit for testing out the traction control on/off in a empty lot vs. on the public streets. these cars can get out of control fast with nannies off. with that said, i believe there is more to the story. not his first run in.

in before the close lol

Tell that to the millions of people who died in gulags, North Korean concentration camps etc. Gee you're naive.

Yeah, it's too bad the cops didn't realize who they were dealing with...an entrepeneur with a political pedigree and name recognition...I'd want to think I was above the law in that situation also...Too bad they didn't see that you were trying to become a better driver by using a parking lot to practice your defensive driving skills...but then again, perhaps the public is over-all more protected once the car was put on a flat-bed....lol

I don't for one iota of a second "believe" he admitted to driving like an idiot...lemme double-check his story...nope. OP never mentioned he drove like an "idiot". What a number of people interpret his behavior as, possibly indicates a different story, all-together.

It appears, there is a strong consensus of opinion among respondents to this thread that the OP did act, behave in or display a certain type of "wrecklessness" for which he should "rightly" be subject to and bear the (full) consequences of some type of "punitive legal action" against him.

On the other hand, however, it appears there is an equally strong consensus of opinion that the OP's "rights" may have been violated by a couple of...shall we say..."over zealous" law enforcement officers, who themselves and the local government which employs them as well as others involved in the "seizure" of his vehicle, should be held accountable for violating his "rights".

Irrespective of which, given said lack of specific information, a lot of posters have nonetheless made some "course" and definitive statements based on their "interpretation" (read; "assumptions"), thereby not necessarily displaying the more intelligent and "reasoning" abilities I'm confident they're capable of, in reference to the "incident" which the OP claims to have been involved in.

"Tire tracks" on the pavement of some "lot" only appear to "indicate" that "somone" made them - but not necessarily the OP.

I'm definitely interested in seeing a scanned copy of the letter the OP states he received from the deputy police chief which the OP stated contained the "threat" and "allegations" against him.

A picture is worth a thousand words. My thoughts on this are either the OP should post a scan of the letter or re-register under a different username. "Mud" (Mudd) might be a good one.
