BUILD COUNTS - please read......

All -

I know how much many of you want to see the build counts for the 2012 model year.

I posted the 45th Build counts - and I have reason to believe that they're incorrect.

I've been requesting reports - I got one report that's well over 100 pages long -- I've spent about 6 hours on it and can safely say:

1. Holy Cow, that's a lot of paper

2. Wow - do we have a ton of engineering codes or what??

3. Either my abbacus is broken or the reports may be wrong.

.....so - EVENTUALLY I will post build counts.

I'll break down:

>ZL1
>45th
>Transformers
>Synergy
>Color counts
>option counts

...we can't go much beyond that.....

BUT - I have lots of other stuff that needs my attention right now - so please - don't PM me. (I love to hear from you - but the box keeps filling....)

When I DO get them straightened out - you'll find 'em RIGHT HERE on this site - and I'll ask the Mods to put it up on the Front Page so people can know that they're here..........

Now - lemme go find my magnifiers -- (...awful to get old........)

If you get the report from a computer, you can send me the electronic version and I can load it into an excel spreadsheet and sort everything by the corresponding code

Will Chevrolet ever release production numbers per 5th gen Camaro model year including each trim/variant broken down in specific detail? Kinda like if there is/will be a Chevy Historic Services, for example. How does this really officially work?

Or is it just one person who performs the ardous task of number crunching and sorting, etc...? i.e. fbodfather in this case.

I never saw 2010 or 2011 numbers. Would like to see them all so I can see how many IBMs were built!

I had to wait 6 months to order my 10' Summit White SS back in 2009 as it was a delayed color.
It was finally on built 8/4/09 #132351.
I still can't find out when the first SW was built- 2010 color, model, option break down numbers for the 2010 Camaros.
It seems to me GM doesn't care since there's no $$$$ in it for them. I hope Scott proves me wrong.

They care, and I guarentee they have the sell numbers down to bolts....how else do you think they make decisions on what to continue and what not to....its weather they feel its benefits GM or not to make public. Standard business practice.

Say they went up 3% in Camaro sales, they would announce that, but say there were 2000 Camaros sold but Mustang sold 6000, by putting out the 2000 number to the public, people would start comparing that to the 6000 mustangs and be like, dang, they arent selling very many camaro's are they, so even though they had significant growth, 3%, by putting out totals, it could put the company in a bad light.

Im not saying thats the case, but there are reasons why a business might not release numbers to the public they dont need to.
