usually buy new as well but wanted the car now and it was the only way it would fit in the budget at the time, next time hoping to buy new, prefer it that way usually!

I looked all over north Texas last spring for a low mileage 2LT or 2SS vert and could not find one in good shape at a good price. Ended up buying new for about $1500 more and never looked back.

Unless the used Camaro has the exact mods, color, options, trim, etc. of what I'm looking for, I'll only buy new.

The only advantage you get with new is that you would be the only owner & the experience of buying brand new if it would be your first. You can get great cars and bad cars both ways, used a lot more so. However there's a lot of good used cars out there that are just as great as a new. You just have to do your research and check the car over well in the purchasing process. I would buy a used Camaro and save some money in my pocket vs. new based off the terms mentioned.

If I was going to buy a 5th gen Camaro right now, I would buy a 2010 or 2011 simply for the steering wheel.

I have bought new and used cars...a used car in mint condition with balance of warranty and clean carfax can be a great buy. This year I bought my fully loaded / stock 2010 2SS / RS for 23k and its been great!

Since I am able to use the GM employee purchase program, I prefer new. I think I paid 26,700 for my 1LT with some good options on it. I am sure depreciation will kill me anyway if I go to an SS model or 2LT in the future. Without the GM discount I would have thought about used, but probably not from a dealership.
