ya... now that I see the video, I'm pretty dissapointed/confused. It looks to have 18 or 19" rear wheels on it, so I'm assuming it has Drag Radials too.

for a 200 shot and all the other mods, it should be WAY faster. I'm guessing he didn't post himself because there are still some major bugs to work out.

Tuning the A6 with NOS and converter is not an easy task....I'm sure he's got several tweeks to make, but I'd say that is the big one.

I can understand tuning effecting et a little bit, but only to trap about 10mph higher than a stock one, with over 200rwhp more than a stock one.

If it can't shift because its studdering off the rev limiter, then it it wont' pick up speed, thus trap higher. I have seen a number of comments on other boards regard the tuning issues folks are having with stalled A6's, esp when trying to make big power. If this is their first effort at it, they are having to work through this from the start. Other shops that have been dealing in vettes and G8's are/have already been through this. I know Intense Racing dealt with some of these issues on their TT G8, but once they figured it out, it ran 10's at almost 130mph. Jetting could be an issue also...he may "think" he's spraying a 200 shot, but due to location of nozzle, jetting/pills etc, it may not be really making that kind of power (although, if his dyno #'s are correct, it looks like he is).

Just speculation here as to what the issues are, when he gets on here himself, he can bring to light what he delt with...

i can see that being an issue, but i could also see that putting rods through the block if it were bouncing off the limiter enough to slow it down that much on a 200shot

If he's shooting a 200 shot on a stock short block cam only LS3...rods through the block must not be of any concern anyway.

Looks to me like some of these shops just want to be the fastest and are willing to do whatever it takes to get there...in a way, I don't blame them...with the affordability of build large CI shortblocks...most of these shops are probably planning for the big bang, so they can stage a bigger build anyway.

haha, that's what i was telling him when he told me about the shot. I said blow that thing up so you can put a big ass LSx motor in here, hahaha. I wanna see that thing doing wheelstands FTW! Owen does a LOT of LSx builds...

they were never weighed as far as i know, so i have no idea. i'm sure it's at least a little lighter, but probably not much. it's a hell of a lot less restrictive though

The A6's are tough to tune but the difference with tuning on the G8's and launching is with the rear suspension. The GTO's had alot of the same issues with traction because of that setup. Too much power down low with those made launching a pain.
