Around 460-470 to the rear wheels....pretty darn close on race weight.
But, my point was a 1.6X manual or 1.7X auto 60' is nearly impossible to achieve with a stock tire, even for a hi-powered stock Corvette. A drag radial could knock .2 off a street tire's 60'....hence, that's the only way I could see a stock ZL1 hit that type of 60' on a prepped track.

Yeah. It's pretty much a given that the short times and the ET's are probably jumbled up from those passes at Milan. I know the guy who was the track manager at the time, and he recalls the cars running those times, but he was hazy on what tires for which passes. I do know that he knows how to prep a track for a radial so I bet the track was well-prepped if it was asked.

I agree......I just don't see any realistic variable that would let those car's 60' those low times without a DR, even if the air and track were great.

I have confidence that the car's will get into the 11's stock with a skilled driver and a little help from mother nature.

I went from a PB of 11.39@125 on a 1.79 60' stock with street tires and OK air (for AZ) , to a blazing PB of 10.92@129.12 on a 1.58 60' with drag radials, a CAI, and great air (for AZ, that meant a DA of +1100' ASL).

Nice job on those numbers.

The MN6 ZL1 has the advantage I think, have any stock A6's run low 12's yet on stock tires, stock tune?

How many people have ran 11's in a bone stock ZL1 on stock tires with a Auto or Manual? The majority of ZL1 owners will run 12's or higher. In order for a decent driver to run 11's in a bone stock ZL1 they will have to wait for the Gen 6 ZL1 and hope its less than 3700LBS and has 700HP.

I think you'll see some manual stock ZL1's crack the 11's on stock tires, but it's probably going to take a track rental at Atco/MIR..etc. , and some cold air. Either way, the driver has got to have the skill to drive the car.....an average driver won't cut it.

edit....... and, I bet those 11 second ET's are going to come from skilled drivers who are NOT using any of the automated launch control features. They'll get those times the old fashion way

Not a chance in hell. But a good part of that is simply because my driving style (on the drag strip) is much too aggressive for street tires period!

I have ran a 12.2 at 114 all stock on stock tires in my Auto ZL1. I plan to get in the 11's stock on stock tires before I do any MOD's.

Thanks man and I will keep after it. The kicker is I could have ran faster but I rolled into the throttle a little too fast and had to much tire spin. My damn 60' was 1.96. I know I can beat that!

Good luck with that! I run mine all the time but mind you...I shift it. The 60' time is the biggest problem... 1.98 best all time. The track is rarely prepped right but I have many passes and getting the beast going is the trick. I have a 120 mph pass in the books so it goes on the top end. Lots of weight to be moving forward though. I've figured out how to run it in bracket racing as I won my class last week and the car is on the front page of Woodburn Dragstrip's webpage.

Good luckand have a blast! These cars are so fun to race. You sould do well with an auto. I have to sandbag a bit and run em out the end. I am running two different tracks this weekend...Medford on Saturday and Woodburn on Sunday both for Wally's. I drive her there and home will be about 500 miles not counting the 1/4 mile runs.
