Maybe it doesn't take a genius or metallurgist to make a license plate bracket, but their statement in the ad:

" Camaro frame is solid brass and coated black to resist rust."

Brass doesn't rust, only iron rusts.....and without iron in steel, you get stainless steel....

My daughter got stopped once for having dealer frames by a state trooper he said they were illegal. A good reason to ditch the dealer frames & go with some thing not too obvious or flashy.

If no one believes this.I'v been thru the whole deal. Dealer put front plate holder on with rivet holes. I took it off got black plugs painted car color & clear coated them turned out awesome. Bought hide away manual fold under holder. Works real good. So far so good Twice I for got too pull it out when I left car show. Was stopped twice and told even though it's on the vehicle in the front I did not have it displaded I could get ticket N.Y law. So I mounted it back on bumper in original holes.the law states in n.y. that your plate has too be readible clearly. You can not put a cover on it,no license plate frame of any kind they have too be able to read every thing that is in the plate,& what will really burn your a-s-s- is the plate has 4 holes in it it has to be mounted by 4 screws or4 bolts. But they don,t push the last one. sorry for the long edit.
