I have a tough time believing that any salesman would agree to sell a 2SS for that. Not that I doubt you but if they would give me that price, I would sure as heck get it in writing or at least record them saying it so they would have to stick to it.

How about a Finance Manager that changed the contract after the sell? He was fired. Should have gone to jail, because he pocketed money. How about a salesperson that went through my briefcase (back when I used one) to see what other dealership I was in negotiations with. I saw the person do it. I have "stories" from each time I have purchased a vehicle. It is literally like going into a warzone. Like going into a situation where you KNOW they are trying to take advantage of you. I appreciate you taking up for those that you know are honest. But, defending the rest is a waste of your time and quite frankly, beneath you. |

DO NOT GIVE THEM A GOOD SCORE!!!! Say it like it is!! Tell them there crooks. I did with my purchase and I have NEVER heard from the Dealership.. I LOVE GM...But so many of the dealers are CROOKS!!! GIVE THEM A BAD SCORE!!!! I have a 2012 Equinox,1988 25000 and my Camaro. I just have to face the fact the SOME Dealers are CROOKS :(

I don't know how much you prepped before purchasing but I would have went to a few dealerships seeing who truly had the best price to offer. BeckyD comes to mind and I'm sure would have helped you out and got you around the price you were looking for. All in all though, I understand your fustration and would probably feel cheated and just disappointed in the overall experience of the dealer especially considering the fact you sold your previous vehicle in order to buy the new. I honestly would have gotten the work order/contract done up so when I came back the next day all I had to do was sign a few things (thats just how I am because I rather not being at a dealership 2 days back to back for more then 10hrs). Personally I don't think I would have bought my vehicle from them but like I said i don't know your entire situation but since you bought the vehicle, enjoy it and welcome to C5. There are alot of people you can learn from, from either DIY or just attending a C5Fest, etc. Relax and enjoy your new 2013 2SS... |

At this point, you need to do what's in YOUR best interests. If you don't have an alternative dealership - give them a good review. Even if you do, you should consider not burning bridges.

I hate to pour on the salt, but yeah, 2 things come to mind...
1. Always get it in writing 2. If you didn't follow #1, and they try to extort you, don't buy a car from them, have your wife come pick you up.

To be fair. SS oil changes are around $100 each at the dealer. Don't know what his definition of "tons" is though. Also the OP should have walked. Not only did he give the dealer his business anyways, he also gave them a good survey for some promotional freebies that the dealer had laying around. |

It funny about these surveys. I know a sales manager for a caddy dealer and all the negitive surveys that come to them they would either trash them or rewrite them to look good.
He stated this is common practice at GM dealers. All the cars I bought the salesman asked me to bring them in blank survey for a free tank of gas, oil changes, and so on if I gave it to them blank. As many stated if the salesman knows he is going to get a bad survey he wont send one out. He will either fill one out on his own as the buyer or ignore it. |

The posts about people not getting surveys are true. I traded in my Camaro last year for a GMC truck. Everything was great, deal signed etc.
I brought it back the next day for a bed liner install (part of the deal). Worst bed liner install I've ever seen. I was and chewed out the service manager, then got my sales guy to come look at it. He called the sales manager over. They offered to put in a new one, which was fine, except obviously you have to drill the bed in different places so I'd be left with with either a crooked liner or extra holes in my truck bed. It was a no win situation and if the paperwork hadn't already been signed, I would have told them to shove it. I never did get a survey. |
