I can get 22mpg in My ZL1 by driving for milage you have to keep the speed down, no fast starts, etc. I get 20.5 or so driving hwy like I owuld normally drive.

me personally I would like to be able to buy a car that got 40mpg and had 5000hp so all the people talking shit about not caring about milage I dont' get it.

GAS COSTS MONEY. MONEY BUYS OTHER THINGS. period. I can affoard alot of things if I want them it does not mean I want to piss away money. I am a thousandair not millionair.

everytime I drive my Dart I am like man if only this thing was RWD and another 400hp I would like it better.

I can guaranty though GT500, ZL1 you drive like you want to in the throttle, in the boost that milage is not going to impress anyone. I can drop the milage down 15mph on a tank diving in town like I want to ha ha. I am sure you can drop the shelby right down in the 16-17 range without blinking too.

21 mpg on first long distance trip, 15.6 mpg local driving with manual. I'm happy...
my 2010 SS got 15.9 mpg around town, 24 on the highway.

...uh, why would I want to purchase a 580 HP car and worry about gas mileage, seriously. I'd buy a Volt if that were the case. Adrenaline...speed, torque, velocity, G force...tunnel vision....junkie, fix, more speed...

ZL1

Why would I even think about mileage when I have a chance to own one of these ZL1s. This thing can give you wood just thinking about how great it drives. I owned a new 69 Z-28 that got about 13 mpg when I was 19, but hey gas was just 45 cents a gallon. I want to be the guy who wastes the last gallon of premium fuel known to man in a ZL1.

If i wanted gas mileage I would have bought a Cruz. I have no idea what my MPG is and don't care to know. The cars for drivin', not conserving. HP>>>MPG

Not bad at all.
Im at 1100 miles AVG is 11.1 mpg. I see close to 4k rpm 15% of the time id say.

I wonder what the AVG MPG for most cars at 1500 miles?

Average 14 to 15 mpg in the city and about 21 mpg for constant driving on the highway at 75 mph. Calculated filling up the tank and filling it when the drive is done,so this is pretty accurate using a calculator for miles driven for gas used.

100% agree. The best I got after about 50 miles around town was 12 MPG, thats without getting on it AT ALL with a 6M. 50 miles was the longest I could do without smashing down that throttle.
