I'd like to see Jamie run a 4.0, how long until they are available?

Whipple hasn't released a date yet, but they are starting to work on the prototype I think.

Please go check all the records and winners and Im pretty sure you will see nothing but Procharger at the top of every list. Just ask Jamie how fast the maggie is, it will go 9.98. Dont get me wrong I had a maggie before and its a great street car blower to play with but if you want to go fast you better get a centri. Once the 4.0 whipple is available it will be a great blower but until then all the roots blowers will not stand up to a centri.

I can pull my car out of the garage and drive it 1000 miles. There isn't one car (new camaro) faster than mine that can lay claim to that. That's more important to me that having a race car. Having the fastest street car is better. ![]() BTW...The car came off the trailer and then I took it out for pizza. No changes!!

I can do the samething but I will have to fab up a hitch so I can pull a trailer full of gas as I get about 2 miles to the gallon.

I made 2 passes on the blower. 10.24 and 10.25. With the air the logs showed the car was peaking at 14 psi.
Not the 15.5 that it saw a week before with 1500 da. With the nitrous it went 9.96. .02 faster that it went in the spring with a -661 DA on 15.5 psi and with a worse 60'. 1.44 in April vs 1.48 Oct 5. On the nitrous the car had wheel spin on each shift. Something I have never seen on the logs before. And the track was shit. It rained all week. So the morning they spent drying it and never prepped it. The radial tire cars were peeling back the remaining rubber down to the concrete. We were driving over little chunks of rubber up to the bulbs. We are going back this Saturday with the 55 shot loaded but armed with the 65 and the 75. Hopefully they politely ask me to get the F out of the track!

I have always given Jamie and JRE the credit they deserve but my point is they are fully maximizing the blower to its max and are now spraying to go any faster. I dont mean to come off that the roots arent awesome blowers as I owned one myself but if you want to go fast you have to go with a centri or use alot of nitrous.

Yup. You are 100% right. The blower is maxxed. Any more either results in belt slip or stupid high IAT's. The 3.4 pulley with 10% OD balancer and OD cogs is the setup that yields optimum performance (for my car). |
