This whole thing reminds me of that video of the guy in a vette that thought he was burning rubber but was actually burning his clutch up, cant remember where that video is, but the same kind of clown activity....

I get it... I really do. NOT TRYING to defend the lack of professionalism.... just pointing out that these cars get beat on by the owners ALL the time.

That they tried to screw the guy and GM is the story. That the car was driven hard... not so much in my book.

the key there is by the "owners". If i want to go out and burn three sets of tires off the car or see if I can go through the gears on MY car, thats cool, its my car.

When supposed professionals decide they have the right to do that, weather I do it to my car or not, thats where they have crossed the line.....noone has the right to do that to my car but myself.

thats why I call BS when the dealer was doing the two year old "but he does it" excuse.......it doesn't matter if the owner runs it up to redline on every start, its his car, what he does to it has no bearing to the fact that the mechanics unnecessary abused his car...

Im also not buying the you have to run performance cars like that to find the problem...why would finding a problem with the transmission be any different than any non performance car?

Agreed. But the car was probably asking for it with the way it was dressed.

Exactly what I was thinking... a couple stupid guys probably just cost a good amount of people their jobs or at least huge paycuts to come. Although it would have been really nice had the dealership just taken responsibility, they could've avoided this whole mess and taken care of the guy.

Sometimes dealerships like doing things the hard way. So now they got to pay severly.

I agree. And these people (collateral damage if you will) most likely have mortgages to pay, children, etc. That's a hard pill to swallow.

This will send shockwaves..across the u.s to all dealers Chevy, Ford, Nissan, E.t.c cause at the end of the day your "reputation" and word is all you have. It's definately an eye opener for managers everywhere.

Lmao I had to do it. Glad everything is getting squared away though. This dealer is definitely in the middle of a shit storm.

How could they do such a thing? I think that now they should buy the car back from the customer and make things right.
