ok then it isn't just me, I have noticed this as well that the tires seem to grab the grooves in the road and the car kind of walks left to right..

Count me in too. I wore them down quite a bit at the track and it got noticably worse.

Mine does that too, only on certain roads! I was thinking that I might have to upgrade the front suspension, starting off with maybe a stiffer front sway! Anybody know if this will cure the problem? Don't really want to change my tires right now, they are still in very good shape!!

Cold asphalt with cold tires is the problem. Happens every fall before we take off the Summer Only tires. ( which AGAIN .........are not directional)

Old Tires

I had a similar experience when my first set of Pirellis were at about 28k-29k. After getting new tires, the weaving went away magically!

DWS's are not directional.

I recently replaced my stock Pirelli's with DWS's and all of my "tracking" issues went away as well. When they were replaced, the tire tech noted that the Pirelli's were starting to develop an air separation which would have made the tracking worse.

I only got 20k miles out of my stock Pirelli's on the rear. Only replaced them, leaving the Pirelli's on the front which then started to develop very bad tracking issues. Only managed 23k miles on the front before the tracking was so bad I just replaced them.

Well it was definitely tires. It seems the car has alignment issues. Check out my other thread for details.
