Check out ARC Audio. I have to amps in my trunk. One for my subs and one for the stereo. I don't know much about this shit but I do know I have to turn it down because it starts to hurt my ears. LOL I have 2 12" ARC subs that are great. Just saying!!!! If you go with ARC get the Black series.

MonsterTodd was right in my questioning. I'm running ********'s FARK and an Arc Audio 900/6. I have power to all my speakers and my sub all off of 1 amp. I also have ********'s amp rack and sub enclosure.

Steve did his harness right!

Does that make enough power for the sub? 150 watts right?

Oh yeah, makes plenty of power. Here are the spec's:

4 Channels @ 4 Ohms-60 Watts
4 Channels @ 2 ohms100 Watts
2 Channel @ 4 Ohms120 Watts
2 Channel @ 4 Ohms (Ch 5+6)120 Watts
1 Channel @ 4 Ohms (Ch 5+6)550 Watts
Frequency Response5Hz - 45kHz
Crossover Range55Hz - 5.5kHz Variable
Bass Boost+15dB @ 45Hz
S/N Ratio107dB
Input Sensitivity (Low)220mA - 3.5V
Max Current Draw101A @ 1000 Watts 1% THD
Fuse4 x 25 Amp
Idle Current1.14 Amp
Dimensions19.25"(L) x 8.0"(W) x 2.325"(H)

I'm using ch 5+6 @ 4 ohms for my single 10" sub. I blew a Kicker and I'm running an Alpine now.

Like all amps, keeping it at its highest impedance level will help with overheating and keep the sound quality up. Just make sure your speakers can handle the power and never turn the gains all the way to max.

Here's a little better verbiage:

If your front speakers are 4 ohm (this is the load the amp sees) you will get 60w to each speaker. If they are 2 ohm, you get 100w per speaker.

If you wire 2 of the channels to your sub (let's use a 2 ohm DVC for example) it will get 550w.

Basically, the amp is as powerful as the speakers allow it to be.

Hope that helps clear it up a little.

Dear all,
I had intended to put a subwoofer in my Camaro 2SS 2012, and ended up buying 2 amps and 2 subs.
This is my configuration:
Original Camaro 2SS 2012 radio (not MyLink Navigator)
Original 9 boston acoustic premium speakers
Bought:
JBL MS-A1004 amp for the speakers
JBL MS-A5001 amp for the subwoofers
2 x JL 8“ 200w 4ohms each
-> No FARK kit in Brazil, so we just removed the stock amp in the truck, cut the wires and made new RCA plugs…

I took it to a sound installer here in Brazil and they did a good job in the custom box, but the sound quality was not so good. I think they do not understand how to distribute the sound from the Camaro radio to the 2 amps and the 11 speakers (9 + 2).

I'm in doubt about the following:

1- The original radio has only 4 outputs, right?
How should I distribute these 4 outputs from de radio to the 2 amplifiers inputs (3 to MS-A1004 and 1 to MS-A5001)?

2 - How should I distribute the 4 amplifier outputs from MS-A1004 to the 9 speakers? And how should I configure the MS-A1004 for the 9 BA?

3 - How should I distribute the 2 amplifier outputs MS-A5001 for 2 subwoofers? And how should I configure the MS-A5001?

4- Does anybody have a simple Camaro 5 SS BA speakers design/diagram, with details about each speaker?

BTW, I would like to keep the functions of FAD and Balance working. Also need to guarantee blinker clicks, warning chimes, and parking assist tone.

I think you could have benefited from our Fark kit to simplify your wiring.

Tks Steve. I am going to USA next month and I will buy some FARK kits. It's much better.

But, as it has also 4 RCA's I would be in the same stage that I am right now, right?

Tks, Jean Paul.

If you cut the wires and added RCA, it's probably too late for the FARK.

I check it now. They didn't cut the wires, just insert new wires in the jackets.

To upgrade to just make the factory installed system sound better what can one do? Using the same speakers?
