Yeah, I agree. Whomever captures the V8 note in a V6 will kill it in exhaust sales. Trouble is, you can't get a silk purse from a sow's ear...so to speak. Just ain't gonna happen w/o two more cylinders!

"The V6 makes for a better daily driver all around with it's cheaper fuel and maintenance costs, smoother ride, great little engine warms up fast, easier on tires, decent performance, but that's not what I was looking for."
Funny, you cite some very good reasons to own a V6 yet, I get it. I too might trade it all in for the same reasons. Not very rational, but I still get it. |

If I made more money, I would drive an SS. That's pretty much the extent of it. I wanted to check something off the bucket list. Buy a brand new car. I could afford a V6 1LT, which coincidentally is packaged just like I want a vehicle. I could not afford (or read: I didn't want to afford) an additional $6K to get into a 1SS/Manual (which simply does not exist in dealer stock I have come to see...) for a daily driver/commuter that is going to use more gas that is more expensive, have pricier tires and brakes, and be an increase on my insurance premium over the truck I was trading in. My V6 Camaro is less than the truck to insure.
To this day I haven't drove, rode in, sat in, or so much as opened the door on an SS Camaro. The most I have done is cupped my hands around my eyes and peeked through the glass at the dealer. It's not viable at this point in my life, and I am absolutely happy with my current car. If I was making the kind of change my best friend makes though, I could see myself ordering up a 1SS, perhaps with the 1LE package. But until then I'll keep my lil 6 banger

I bought and loved my 2010 v6 LS, modded it with halos,CAI, long tube headers and quad gauges. I was planning to supercharge it when I got back from Afghanistan but my wife (mustang GT owner) decided I would go big or go home and traded it for a 2010 2SSRS while I was gone. I got back to find a fully paid for SS in my driveway. This car is awesome!
And I'm definitely keeping the wife.

I am DD'ing my car, and v6 is much nicer in a socal area.
Roads are terrible, constant traffic. Don't see much of a need to have a v8 over v6. |

Went straight for the V8, didn't even drive the V6, I have always owned V8's in my other Camaros so why break tradition?
