Cool thanks I came accross that product when trying to find a good conditioner for my home leather sofas, but never thought about using it for the car seats. Im going to get some and use it on both. I bet white leather would be hard to keep looking good.

Due to my job I rarely wear jeans, and Im more on the skinny side. it has to be the way I enter and exit the car.

It's probably the way you enter and exit the car, combined with lack of seat leather maintenance and care. Maybe some rain or water got on it as well.

Armour All stuff sucks in my book. My ex girlfriend used that stuff on my CRX and cracked the dash and door panels. It actually dries out the seats and dash.

I am convinced it's the way you are getting in the car.

I put my left hand over that exact spot and slide my but over it and down in the seat. I try not to slide around to much. I have 20,000 miles on my car and there is not a hint of any kind of wear in that area. I am 5' 10" and 150lbs.

I had never paid attention before, but the contact occurs as I'm entering the car. I'm cerntainly going to adjust how I do that.

I have similar issues. Can i ask those of you who had the dealer cover this, did they replace the entire seat cover on the backrest, or just the worn panel? If they replaced the cover, did it fit as tight and wrinkle-free as the original? Finally, my car is a 2010, but was on the road in 2009... so my warranty for such things is probably gone..:( My car only got 8000 miles on it...Wondering if I may still have any chance of having it taken care of at a dealer?

The dealer indicated that the seats are a wear and tear item and that warranty would not cover the repair. It's funny how they made it seem like my car was ancient when they tried to justify their answer " its expected for a car that old with that type of mileage" it only has 22000 miles!!! I guess i just expected better quality "leather".

take a 35 mile hike to Delillo Chevy in Huntington Beach and ask for Darrin at the service isle.. I bet you have better luck..

I'm guessing you went to either George or Cerritos Chevy? both suck IMO I have always had issues with the most obvious warranty things being covered..

I had a 2000 Silverado that had 5,500 miles and was under a year old have the drivers side power window fail and George Chevy told me it was from over use..

I took it to George Chevrolet, the Service consultant name Louie lacks customer service skills and becomes upset after you refuse all the unnecessary services he tries to make you get. Thanks for the info I was thinking of going to the Cerritos dealer next

I'm going through a dealership "maybe it's under warrenty" thing with my halo lights - two differant colors (greenish / whiteish). Their going to give me a call - it's been a week since they said the would contact me. It's not like they don't know about this - two other cars have to be fixed.

From what I had read, they only replace the back seat cover. I think the warranty begins the month you buy the car. if its out of warranty im sure you have a battle ahead of you, but it dosen't hurt to try.

It's funny how Bumper to Bumper warranty dosen't really mean Bumper to Bumper...

The bumper to bumper excludes wear items.

But I understand what you are saying.

as a tech I would replace the cover for you once as a customer service issue. If you try a different dealer they can approve the repair for "Customer Satisfaction." A dealer may do this in order to win you over as a cust for future repairs and a good survey. It honestly comes down to the service manager.
