I don't know, we are only talking 1/10th of a seocond from the best times so far, so it is possible he was stock.

Might want to do some research, a number have hit 12.2 STOCK so really 12.1 is NOT out of the realm of possibility here.

You will have to re-think that (http://www.challengertalk.com/forums...t-night-87887/).

A few Charger 392s are nipping at the heals of high 11's with just tune and tires (http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/...d.php?t=159910).

But the deciding factor is the driver.

I know of 2 guys in my town that took their stock z's added some tires and hit 10's. both were very strong cars with good drivers.

I am assuming this race took place on 11/1. The DA that night for Memphis was around -200 so yeah now I can believe the SRT8 claiming stock. You know what I would give for negative DA? My DA at the track last night was around 2500. You guys dont know how lucky you are to have a track near sea level.

Well, if I still had my 2011 392 Challenger I believe 100% I could get a 12.1-12.0 bone stock out of it in good weather. I did the 12.25 @ 114 in half way decent weather with a crappy 1.9 60 ft.

I can say it would not be easy but its possible. There actually was one about a year ago that pulled a 12.0 bone stock but it was never documented. Alot of guys saw it but no slip ever showed up on the net for proof. Of course, it was at ATCO......

Well come up North a bit and I'll let you run mine for a few passes at VMP, I'd love to see a 12:00s out of a bone stock car. I'm just not a good enough driver to do it myself

I've been seeing more and more good times out of stock 392 challengers. This might very well be one of the most underated cars in the past 10 years. These things run a lot better in the real work than the media would have you believe. They also handle a lot better with the adjustable suspension.

We just recently had an L99 A6 with intake and pulley run 12.4s @ 111 mph. So an almost stock L99 ran 12.4 (stock tires, stock tuning, stock exhaust, etc).

So crazy fast times are possible in the right conditions.

Congrats!

Thanks man.

I agree w/ what others have said though for that heavy a car and to run as quick as it does the Chally 392 is very nice.
