I love how many people are complaining about the distance, I just do my best to make the entire roadtrip a vacation. Drove from san diego all the way to indy last year and ill most certainly be doing it again! Got to cruise Route 66 for most of the drive

I did same to Chandler. 4 days, east coast to Firebird & will remember for the rest of my life. No complaints. I can hope for fest to be closer 1 day but getting there is 1/2 the fun. See you in Indy in 7 months.....

Valdosta, GA - our first location - was literally in the middle of nowhere...yet somehow we managed to have a good time. We always do.

The road trips to and from car events are half the fun of attending events to me. It's even better if you have a group traveling together - you get a chance to get to know some people beter than what you can just posting on a forum.

If you get bored driving on the Interstates - take some two lane roads for a couple hundred miles or so.

The Southern Maryland Camaro Club will probably do a caravan again this year to Indy. We had over 105 cars last year it was awesome.

Firestorm will be joining that caravan if they do it again. We had a blast.

They are hard core up there and it would have been so much better in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, etc...
I'll let my neighbors know! They love hearing how "hardcore" they are. Indianapolis during the summer is insane. Every weekend there is something going on. Winters, that's a different story!
