Nope. It will not show different TQ/HP on a dyno.

You are right about the torque being in the horsepower equation but you are forgetting other variables that is in the equation. Most importantly is time. The HP and TQ curve will be earlier in the curve so you get more power and torque sooner. You will get to where you want to be in less time.

Do some calculations with (torque x time) / 5252 and see for yourself. Time = rpm.

Also, The dyno will actually "see" more torque at the rollers with a lower gear (3.91 vs. 3.31), but it takes the measured torque at the wheels and divides it by the difference between engine RPM and roller RPM. This takes the gear multiplication out of the equation.

I posted a while back on a thread about HP. I had my car tuned and it was putting down 386RWHP before the tune. After the tune it was putting down 407.5RWHP. I was extremely happy with the gain and could feel the difference big time when I drove it.

I got so many questions because no one believed me. Even after I posted the results I still got responese that it wasn't real. The guy that did the tune is very well known and has been in several car magazines for his ability to tune a car. I just thought WTF, I don't care if you don't believe it or not. It's my car and I'm happy with it.

No need to tell me again you don't believe me because I don't care if you do or not.

Congratz Russ. Problem with forums sometimes is people personalize the info. What I posted is real and legit and honest. Now how accurate the results are.... well

Strange almost none of the site geniuses have made a case for the possibility or impossibility of this being accurate.

Can a stock SS with a 1LE setup make 400 to the ground?

Is it possible the dyno is off by 10%? yes. Does the gear ratio matter? No. Does the esteering help? a little. Does the exhaust a help? a little. Does anyone on the forum have a crystal ball? no. Are you gong to get a solid answer? no. Are you going to keep asking until someone says it is correct? probably

Agree...that's the only way to find out Dyno numbers are sometimes just numbers and every dyno is different.

So the 1LE has the same ls3 as everyone else making 426hp at the crank. You put down 402? That would mean your drive train only had 5.6% loss. Sorry but something is off here the gears are probably close to that inefficient not to mention the shaft, transmission, and well everything else between the crank and the rear wheel, I mean think about it logically something doesn't add up

I think that's where the problem lies, the dyno sheet makes no mention of correction.:emoticon7:

So ya don't know if a LS3 COULD do that with no mods? Not looking for validation?i I own a NEW 1LE! You post as though you have intimate knowledge on this subject. What is the most a stock LS3 could generate? And would it have to be raced to be believed?
