I think the whole down shifted at 70 and roasted the tires is a exaggeration. I am betting he pressed in the clutch held the gas and dropped the clutch at redline as the tires did spin. Fact there is no way all he did was down shift not revving the clutch and it roasted. I have more than 100 hp on him and mine won't do that.... Me and a zl1 have almost the same rwhp and the one i drove wouldn't do this either. So u plan on us believing ur car is only 90 rwhp off the zl1 and also being able to roast the tires off at a speed that cars with more hp can't! Either ur roads were sweating/wet or u popped the clutch. Plain and simple

Clutch was not popped. I ask again... this car has rear tires designed to be on the front of the zl1 as well as 3.91 gears... could that cause this? I have been driving stick for a long time I'm not some spoiled kid playing on the internet.

It could be as simple as hitting a bump or changing lanes at the critical moment. Once radial tires are broke loose past a certain percent of excess spin they will continue like on ice.

It's all very simple, GM felt so bad after all the grief Tram went thru with the vert they made a special one just for him!

All kidding aside, it sounds like you finally got a winner! Good luck with the new ride!

FTW.

I have no reason to question TramTwo. I wasn't there when any of this happened. He was.

I have had this thought a few times!

I drove a bolt on modded SS vert that was putting 420 to the ground for over a year. I put almost 23000 miles on that car. This car stock is way quicker. I cant wait to get my engine mods done.

Now, now. Let's be positive.

I like the looks of the car in that color, TramTwo. It's just about perfect.
