Did you keep warranty?

I believe this is in the right section. Just wondering for those that purchased warranty and then "voided" it by modding, can or did you cancel it? SS

Are you referring to the GMPP service contract offered by General Motors?

Also, keep in mind The New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover any damage or failure resulting from modification, alteration or suspected tampering, to the vehicle's original equipment as manufactured or assembled by General Motors.

Any changes to the GM Powertrain, Fuel, or Emission Systems that involve modifications, conversions, or the addition of non-GM approved products will void the GM Powertrain Limited.

This is not cut and paste.
Lets you did a gear swap to 3.73's. Your rear end would no longer be covered but the rest of your powertrain would be (engine/trans)...

I understand what GM rep said, wasn't asking that. Was asking if people who bought used car and purchased a warranty went ahead and cancelled that warranty.

so are you saying that putting in a CAI or Vararam system would void the GM warranty?

Not exactly the same, but I blew mine within a month. Not looking back either.

My warranty on a new vehicle lasts about as long as it takes to get it on the lift. My cars are smart. They find their way to the lift before the paperwork is done. A good delivery for me has the warranty in question before we leave the Dealership

This would be dependent on what the dealership is able to diagnose if an issue exists. If the issue is caused by any aftermarket part, then they can deny any warranty coverage on that component.
