You would need to run the wires from the lighted door sills to the dash. Running them under the black rubber door sill, under the side kick plate which snaps in and out of place and then up under the steering wheel you will see a harness and you'll be looking for a yellow wire. If you search footwell lighting in the DIY section you see pics of the exact wire you want and tap into that. This will allow them to come on when the doors open. You ground anyplace.

Well thats part of what was sayin. I dont have factory ABL in my doors. Nothing but the factory dome light thats it. And the door and dash pieces are the same plastic as the rest of the dash just grey in color. Do i need different door and dash inserts?

I didn't have ABL doors either, I do now but that's not the issue. You tap into the courtesy lights which will allow them to come on with the dome you'll be good to go!

Not understanding your question totally but if you have cloth door pieces and dash pieces they can be swap out as I did for the ABL door and dash panels. Once done, they can be wired to the yellow (pwr) wires already on the doors and grounded with the black wire that is there also. If you don't want the ABL you can just switch them out or you can make a project of the cloth ones and strip them and paint them. Its been done as well. But again, not sure what you're really asking.

I used weather strip to get it right. I also used to pipe from SjM, Tony who is a sponsor on the forum. Pretty simple to get done. I don't super glue anything but just maneuvered it to be where it should be. Got all the info on the DIY section.

Chozn4service. Looks good man thats how i want mine. What im asking is if you have to have the chevy accessorie smooth painted door and dash inserts to do the install. The inserts in my 12doors LS are the same textured plastic as the rest of the doors and dash.

Thanks and yes you would need the smooth panels and dash pieces to do this. I think I found mine on here for like $200 and I picked them up since it was somewhat local.
Originally I had the cloth pieces and I haven't seen that are all plastic pebble molded like main part of the doors. They've all been removable in previous years but yes to your question, you need the ABL door panels, the dash pieces require taping off leading edge (top) and lightly sanding to remove the silver paint so the light will show through. From there it's all about wiring and install.
Good luck!

**** Edit****

I was on my phone for the previous post but now that I can see what you're working with. I don't think you can do the lights with those panels at all. The ABL door panels are clear and then painted switchblade silver. You would need to find those type of panels and dash pieces and go from there. You can get the light pipes and LEDs from Tony at Sjm out of Chicago and like I said, he's a vendor on this forum.
