Arrow Getting any unwanted attention???

For those of you who've already taken delivery is the car getting any unwanted attention from law enforcement?(And I dont mean you were doing 75 in a 45 and got pulled over!) Im 42 and out of the "wanna race?" stage of life so Im curious if anyone feels theyve been unjustly singled out for driving this fine piece of machinery.

Rented one for the weekend and pretty much every cop I passed or pulled up next to slowed down or turned around...but they were checking the car out more than anything. Most with huge smiles on their faces. Especially my brother and my best friend's brother..who I let both drive it. Of course they drove it like a patrol car though and did 100 mph on streets you shouldn't. LOL.

Other than that, no. The other attention was from car guys asking about the engine or giving me thumbs ups and such.

Do you mean getting a ticket when you were barely speeding, or just getting pulled over because the copy wanted to look at it?

A number of people have said a cop pulled them over just to check out the car. My own feeling is that this is highly inappropriate (not to mention illegal), but some people don't care.

I'm curious to know if I'll really be more likely to get a ticket driving a red sports car, like everybody always says. Around here, it's pretty much standard practice to do 75-80 (or more) in the fast lane, and I've never once in my life gotten a speeding ticket for that. But will I start getting them now, just because I'll be in a red sports car?

Once again, this thread will need to be closed as any negative comments towards being pulled over illegally will be considered "cop hating". The past two threads on this topic have already been closed. Due to many members and a mod being cops, no one is allowed to voice a negative opinion about one.

You don't think a 300+ HP RWD sedan is a real car?

I drove a red sports car, and I needed to have a lawyer on retainer... Was I speeding on most occasions? Yes everyone does. Do I still speed now in my current vehicle? Of course, but I don't get the attention nor the tickets.

I have been pulled over by a couple different Motorcycle Officers to check out my 2008 Kawasaki Concours motorcycle. The first time was a bit annoying because i was working on the break-in miles on it's maiden voyage.

They were just pulling me over to ask some questions about the bike since their department was looking at up-grading from the under powered BMW's they were issued to keep up with and catch the sport bikes that are all over the place around here.

One of the Officers actually told me to merge onto the freeway 0-100mph so he could see if it would do what he needed it too...

Said "hey do me a favor and 0-100 that thing...no ticket promise"

Interesting counterpoint from Snopes here, although it focuses on "red cars" not "red sports cars":

I agree. The EVO is quick, yes, but in the end it's still a four door econobox that looks very close to the FWD POS base model. The G8 is badass looking.
