Is there anything WRONG with buying a house and a ZL1, both on credit? No. But my point was all these financial geniuses that try to rationalize why they "coulda" bought the car with cash, but invested in an endeavor that "paid more interest in what it would cost them on the car note"...yeeahhhhh. That's pretty unlikely.

I can't believe all the problems a lot of people go through to acquire financing. It totally takes away from the epic feeling you get when you take her home for the first time. I remember those "hoops" we'll and sympathize. I've worked very hard and have put myself in a position where I no longer require financing to buy my vehicles. It is a much easier process to just get the final sale numbers go to the bank withdraw the money return to the dealer and say thanks and see ya later! The only drawback is to see a pretty big drop in the old bank account but it is quickly erased buy the huge smile and the pride you feel inside of knowing she's all yours 100%! I wish all ZL1 owners could feel the way I did when I got mine. Some can relate but eventually the rest will get how I feel when you make that final payment! You will frickin love it! The car even becomes a bit prettier to you!

I'm no genius at this, but I can tell you one thing. When my parents bought my my 45th anniv. Camaro, they paid up front in cash. Its much cheaper that way, and less opportunity for dealers to screw you over. Also, before we did this we made sure that they had the VIN number of the car I wanted. We nearly got screwed over when I asked for the VIN number and they said that they couldn't get it until we put $1000 down. Then I learned, If the dealer doesn't provide you with the VIN number, then it is an obvious SCAM. This is because, everything about the car is attached to the VIN number. So yeah, I really hope this helps you out.
