WOW, that is shitty. They need to address that, it will be expensive re-painting all the bumpers!

Maybe they should put clear vinyl (Like a clear bra) on the edge, to at least stop this from happening for now~

it's not random, ours had it the day we picked it up at 9 miles. It is an alignment problem, there is no space at all between the metal and plastic. It will be covered under warrantee but if they don't fix the alignment problem it will happen again beofre you get it home.

we need a thread for common seen problems -

let me know how exactly they fixed it, b/c we decided to wait till the end of the summer for them to fix it, JUST incase they break something in the process of taking off the rear bumper and can't get parts. thanks

it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

Have them fix. EVERY car model has these things happen at random. It sucks but they will fix it. I know that's easy for me to say but it's true.

That's pretty bad though.
This may go unnoticed on a black car though. All of you with black SS's should double check just in case..

I don't have pics but my RY looks exactly the same only on the drivers side.
The bumper cover looked like it was tightly against the quarter panel and the paint peeled off.
I dropped it off at dealer yesterday, picking up this afternoon.
They were removing it and repainting the cover - under warranty.
