Have to agree here. I too have a converted Auto and love it! They are both great choices but with what you are describing I'd go with an Auto. And ignore the whole "Be a man" crap about buying a Manual. My daughter, who is 21 races my car at the drags and beats plenty of "Manly men" in their manuals.

It's all personal choice and what's practical. Go Auto!

Auto.. daily driver in traffic... all needs to be auto.
enjoy driving it. even in traffic. I would be pissed if i had a manual trans in some of the traffic here in so cal..hell i'd probably have gotten into an accident by now.
but that also accounts for the amount of skill.
if you can do it and don't mind doing it daily. do it.
other wise. if you question it in the back of your head. don't.

I had the auto 1SS then traded for a 1SS manual, my car is my DD and I drive in Los Angeles traffic to and from work. I still don't regret going from the A6 to the M6, I like the LS3 engine as opposed to the L99 - just my personal preference.

FYI...
The Auto ZL1 is a breath faster than the Manual

If it were a daily driver I would go auto. Pleasure weekend only car manual hands down.

Oh, wait. That was the stick

In all fairness, the Auto wasn't available during those test. The auto was basically last minute decision.

I've driven a manual for 6 or 7 years in stop and go traffic. It's no big deal to me.

People with auto brag about being able to use manual mode...
But,
People with manuals bitch about auto mode (Skip shift).

Go figure

All are people who don't want their active choice in this matter completely taken away just yet. For anybody who even just occasionally uses any manual method of shifting an automatic, never using anything but "D", "R", and "P" must still seem pretty mindless and uninvolving.

But,
We don't all draw the line between what constitutes an acceptable level of automation and what isn't in the same place. I doubt that left to our individual selves we ever will.

Dual Modes and Manual rocks even as a DD.
All I was saying is sporty is different than fun. My manual civic was fun to drive, but it was not sporty. My auto camaro is not as much fun to drive, but it is sportier. A manual camaro would be sporty and fun, until you have those times in traffic where it's not as much fun. Fun is more subjective than sporty since you can actually quantify sporty characteristics like acceleration and handling.

Now if you say a car looks sporty, it's subjective again :-P.
