I want none of the 'creature comforts' listed... I like my car to be simple... I didn't get a Camaro to be my end all for creature comforts.......

Even though my Camaro has a back up camera, it still does not replace actually turning your head around and looking.
I am glad my car has seats, a steering wheel, a working radio, working ac and heater, and a cup holder. Everything else is just gravy. |

I view the Camaro as more of a "driver's car." You're in it because you want to drive, not watch movies or chat on your Bluetooth. Drivers in this category tend to care more about what's included mechanically. I know that this segment of the population is becoming smaller, but I also know there are still a portion of us out there that honestly enjoy the simple driving part of owning a vehicle.
I am in no way looking down on the technology side of things. I think it is amazing, to be honest. I wouldn't be employed if it wasn't for the tech boom. But, I am a web designer, and I live and breathe technology and how people connect and communicate for 40+ hours every week. My Camaro is my escape from that. I can hook my iPod up and change songs on the steering wheel. That is all I need. When I'm in my car, especially solo, it is my "girl cave" and it is honestly stress relieving to disconnect and just drive. That's part of why I own a Camaro (outside of wanting one since I was 12). So, as my husband and I get established, we'll have the sporty car and the more comfy car with the technology. We're happy with that, and I think everyone should be happy with the vehicle they own. That's why we have so many choices, after all!

I paid $27k for my convertible, which comes with a back up camera. Not so sure what the fuss is all about. If you want a Civic, get a Civic. It's good on gas. However, if you want hot chicks walk up to you giving you their phone number, then get a Camaro. It does all the work for you and you don't even have to be good looking. LOL!

Can I just reiterate the fact that the OP apparently bought a 2010 LS for $26k?

Apparently you haven't seen the wish list for the 6th gen. It seems like most people want their living room crammed into their car.

Wow.
My 2013 Camaro is not a Honda? ![]() Chevy is behind in technology? ![]() I guess I will have to get an instant refund and buy nothing but Hondas and give up on enjoying what I thought I could. Oh and that means I gotta get rid of my Harley cause that technology is beyond old and must be embarrassing for anyone to deal with old technology. ![]() I imagine that V6 in my 2013 has no current technology. ![]() Personally I do not want a Honda nor the stuff that is standard equipment. I want to enjoy my drive........simple as that. I am sure GM could include such things but in all of their cars but why? My first sports car was a 1959 MGA and when that car was made a "true sports car" had only 2 seats, no exterior door handles, and a folding top. Times will change but the experience certain cars like the Camaro provide I hope do not.

The automotive industry is very competitive and even for companies that spend everything they can developing new cars and technology year after year it's a battle. GM lost some ground through the bankruptcy and is still trying to catch up. GM had to make some compromises during the bankruptcy and some of the vehicles developed during and just after feel those effects. The lag will lessen as a profitable and competitive GM keeps bringing out new product.

Does a honda civic havea 426 hp engine? The camaro is a sports car...100% american muscle..the honda civic is just..a honda civic. How can you compare the two lmfao. If you want luxury go for a beamer, benz or caddy. This is american muscle.
