GM only adds the most sought after luxuries to their top of the line V6 and V8 Camaros. I don't agree with this marketing philosophy. The thought that GM will make more money by forcing people to buy top of the line then making all options availble and letting people buy what is important to them. It gets old. They will sell more cars by producing happy customers.

You know you can get the Bluetooth and iPod connection on a $15k Spark? I'd like to talk the horse's arse that made these command decisions.

Even a cheapest Honda Civic has one standard, plus ipod interface, and bluetooth. How come a Camaro, 8 grand more, still doesn't have what the rest of the world has as standard equipment? Same backwards thinking it would seem. Went home without the new car.
Sounds like to me you should have gotten the cheaper Civic. The dodge dart priced at $25k sounds right up your alley too, it has all the bells and whistles your complaining/wanting.

THIS X'S 100. Just like the tire pressure sensors. You really need a light on your dash telling you the tires are low? "Gee, my left front tire is lying on the rim, oh well, no big deal.". Car in gear, brain in neutral!

Again, the point is missed....GM is out of synch. If Honda can put this stuff as standard, on their cheapest cars, and other manufacturers do also, where is GM?? The slavish adoration of GM does not change the fact that they are out of touch.

Honda isn't able to include it for nothing, they have to make tradeoffs in the performance department. smaller engine, front wheel drive, smaller wheels, ect, ect. they do this because they aren't competing with the camaro, they're competing with the carolla, mazda 3, sentra, focus, ect. the camaro competes with the charger and mustang. GM basses the standard features on what those cars are offering. not what a compact car comes with. get it now?

Chevy doesn't include it standard to keep the price down. if your not worried about price, get a higher trim level and get it. hell, GM offers stabitrack standard on all camaro's, why doesn't Honda on it's cars. are they perhaps behind the 8 ball. see how that works?

exactly why is it your so hell bent on comparing the camaro to a civic, does your wife drive one or something? the corolla doesn't come with a back up cam standard, neither do the sentra, focus or cobalt. hell, Honda doesn't even offer it standard on the fit.
If you need a back up camera on a Fit, you are blind. The point, again, was that GM has it's head up its ass, as usual.

While you are on the subject, if you really want a sports car, get rid of the power steering, a/c, power brakes, windows, power seats, radio and all the other stuff that you don't need to drive. GM needs to get into the new century.

I don't understand. It is available. Just get it optioned with what you want. Why does it have to be standard? THis way, people that want it can equip the car that way, and people that don't can save some coin.

I wonder if there is a new Honda Civic driver bitching on a Honda forum about all the uneeded crap that his basic transportation Civic came standard with that jacked the price of his car up??

Honda prices haven't changed much in spite of all the good stuff they have standard.

msrp of a base model civic in 2000 was just over 10k. it's now 18k. and personally, if all things were equal, i'd take a brand new 2000 civic Si over a 2013 civic Si.
