Halo Issue _ Please Help! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Red halo on passenger side. Anyone ever hear of this and can offer a solution?

It is VIN #1340 so it's an early car but when we pulled it out of the showroom to do the NYS inspection and LoJack, this is what we found:

Now, this is legit and is not photoshopped.

We called GM Technical assistance and someone there said something about some Canadian Right hand something or other. Obviously this is a problem and not a rare car at all.

Has anyone seen this and possibly know of a solution other than waiting forever for the part to become available??

Holy shit dud that is sweet. The red HALO are suppose to only be used on the special edition CAMARO BLACK which isn't even being sold yet. If I were you I would leave it that way, that shit looks sweet and makes you look like the police and its legal.

Almost looks to be burnt out! May have to replace the lamp.

Order a new halo headlight for that side from the dealer and if that doesn't work well i dont know what to tell you.
Well at least we know now that it is possible to bet red haols like in the Black Concept.

Red is definately illegal

arent the halos LED? could it be as simple as a voltage problem with its ballast/transformer??

thats what i thought also. to me it looks like its not getting enough juice.

You can try and argue legal, but I highly doubt a police officer will care. Who's to say whether it's factory or not.....

Red is not illegal. As long as it isn't a strobe light or lights going off. So look at you avatar, that has the red halos and there are plans in the future to offer the CAMARO BLACK CONCEPT and I have seen that car up close in person at the Detroit International car show. So red isn't illegal and since it came from the factory like that you can't say otherwise and it's pretty easy to tell whats aftermark and whats not on a car.

To me it looks like they put one of the CAMARO BLACKS halo lights in by accident. That is the exact way the red halos look on the concept car.
