What's wrong with that? I can definitely sympathize with a person living in a relatively free market, free society country preferring to buy from a private company. Since the government at least says it intends to sell GM back to investors soon, it isn't at all unreasonable for this guy to wait, especially since he's interested in the convertible anyway.

A stupid liberal chick I went to college with saw it and asked, all concerned, "That thing isn't a gas guzzler, is it??"

However, the biggest discrepancy between being excited/envious and jealous:

Excited: "That's a sweet f'ing car, I want to hump the tail pipe".

Jealous: "Pfft, how much are your payments going to be?" "Damn, how much is insurance on THAT?".

Only more so because the more money GM makes now, the sooner the government relinquishes control. If all these people pissed about the government intervention realized that boycotting GM is just sticking us tax payers with the bill for longer maybe they'd change their minds and try to get it out of this mess sooner.</offtopic>

I had a guy ask "is that the new Vette? Wow, that's the new Corvette, right?"

And at a local car show there was some young guy walking with his friends. He was swearing up and down that my Camaro was the fastest car there, forget the supercharged viper, the 454 Hemi Cuda, or all the handfull of supercharged Mustangs. I give him some credit, the Camaro definately looks fast as hell.

was talking in casual conversation to an old friend just catching up, and she asked me what i drove and i said "Focus" and she goes....."is that a car???"

Hopefully she knows that a Camaro is a car next time we talk................
or i will have no idea how she has been living under a rock.

some people are just not into cars at all i guess..................

His response: Oh yeah I'm sure they do, they make one with 700 horsepower.
