If you have blue tooth in your camaro get in it and watch the video. It is so freaking cool to watch this video in your car with the audio going through the speakers

OP....you mention the brakes didn't really fade at all. Did you switch out to some DOT 4 fluid or are you still using the DOT 3 that came in the car?

Yes....I hope to run my first road course at Eagle Canyon Raceway (http://www.eaglescanyon.com) in a couple weeks. I've done probably 4 or 5 Auto-X events but that's not the same.

Just got my Motul fluid in this afternoon and should have the new fluid in this weekend. I have a seperate clutch resivoir as well but use store bought Prestone DOT 4 in it.

I have a good handfull of suspension and performance upgrades and hope to do well. Actually, if I can make it throught the day without kissing the wall or having the air bags deploy I'll be happy.

Yes...I have stainless brake lines as well. Stock brake pads though along with stock wheels and street tires. At least I have 20x9 with 275 tires on all 4 corners.

I also have coilovers, cradle, radius rod, differential bushings, toe rods, and trailing arms. Have the new FE4 suspension with Pedders ZL1 swaybars front and rear. I have the 3.91 gears as well.

I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I hope to get some kind of video and pictures as well. I think I've watched your video at least 5 times already.

I have no idea about circuit of americas.

Looking at Eagles Canyon's Competitors map it looks like you have some pretty good straits that you will be seeing speeds above 100 mph, maybe even 120, and then hauling your car down for some pretty tight turns. I would recommend upgrading your pads or you risk the chance of overheating your stock ones. Been there done that and it is NOT fun.

I have mentioned to others that I use Carbotech, ctbrakes.com ,xp-12f and xp-8r on track and they have been very good. Tracking your car is very different than AutoX and much longer so your brakes need to be up for the stress and duration of it.

Oh, watch your tire pressures too.

Looking at the mods you have Caveman you will definitely have some fun and be one of the faster cars on track that day. I would hate to see something happen due to lack of brakes. You have had that car for too long for something to happen now.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

Thanks for the heads up.

Unfortunatley I don't have time or money to get the brakes in and seated correctly before next week. I'll just keep that in mind and if the brakes start fading I'll have to either slow down, wait longer between sessions, or just do one or two. I'll just play it by ear.

There is another track day in May and I might be able to have brakes by then. I have a strong feeling I'll need them.

Now, I will say that another member on here just ran Eagle Canyon with stock brakes and I'm pretty sure just the stock DOT 3 fluid. He made it through but did say his brakes felt mushy for a day or two afterwards.

I definatley want to bring my car back in one piece. So, if that means stop running then that's what I'll have to do.

You can get them pre-bedded from them for like $25 more. That is how I get them and they just install and go.

Let us know afterwards how you did.
