PCV Orfice Drill Mod

So I did the passenger side orfice drill mod this afternoon and am just wondering how far back in is the orfice supposed to go? I pressed it in as far as I could and seems really snug and just want to double check with you that have done it. I was able to pull and wiggle it out without releasing the clip first so didn't see how far it was in originally...Thanks in advance

The metal ring around the middle should be flush with the valve cover.

Well it appears then I can only get it about halfway back in...any tricks to get it in further? I'm guessing tapping it down would not be a good idea...

Haha actually that is what I did, but didn't do it too hard.

You pull the PVC valve, and open up the holes with a 7/64" drill. The idea being it helps prevent the oil from clogging up in the very small stock holes. I did this to mine while I had the intake off this past weekend.

It not meant to change anything in terms of performance. It's meant to help oil getting from getting backed-up in the PCV system.

Pulled mine out, it was clean, just chased the holes with a drill.

So for those of us paranoid about drilling out parts on the car while still under warranty, I assume a yearly cleaning of this part to make sure holes are clear should suffice? Is that what you Too Cool and C_cook is saying? Only got 10K on the car right now and I change my oil frequently.
