Mine does the same exact thing, but it isn't all the time. It mainly happens when I first drive the car each time. Driving out to the highway from my neighborhood at a slow speed is fine. Once I get up to highway speed the steering wheel shakes, and after a while it's almost as if it works itself out and goes away. Wheels are balanced and everything is fine. My friend rode with me one day and said it felt like the passenger bearing was vibrating and he could feel something that was off from sitting there. As far as the steering wheel goes it only happens for a very short time when the car is first driven then goes away so I haven't had anything else looked into.

Thanks for the solidarity on the issue guys. Mine seems to do it regardless of how long a particular drive is, or temperature. I am going in to Haddad Motorsports on Tuesday. I will update once I get back.

Your tires are flatspotting. Mine does this also when I get in and there has been a drop in temperature. Once the tire warms up, the vibe goes away.

Hey guys. I went to Haddad Motorsports today to diagnose the steering wheel vibration. Mike and his crew were able to detect what was causing the vibration. The tires were put on a Road Force Balancing machine and there were major deviations with 2 tires. Way out of acceptable specs. Mike was able to balance them with this new information.

I am really happy how well it turned out! 95% of the vibration is gone, and considering how "off" the tires were, that is pretty awesome. The only real 100% fix is to get new tires.

Overall, I am more that pleased with Haddad Motorsports. I have been hoping for a long time to find a performace garage near me that knows what they are doing, and Haddad definitely qualifies. I will be taking my camaro there for anything else I do in the future.

Anyone else in the LA area looking for a good shop with good guys owes it to themselves to check out Haddad Motorsports. Very nice and easy to work with. Mike made sure to understand what I wanted out of my car, he wasn't trying to force any other opinions but did lend his experience to helping me realize exactly what I wanted and how I could get there. This was great, I have been to places where the guys only tell you what they think is correct from their perspective.

I know this is a long post, but Mike deserves a lot more credit than I can give. His knowledge and expertise is evident when you are talking to him.
