2014 Camaro Refresh to Debut at New York Auto Show

My guesstimate is minimal or subtle changes... F & R fascias, minor cosmetics, and mild to moderate exterior/interior tweaks. Current engines remain. Nothing significant.

So where has FBODFATHER been lately? he was always telling us to keep the faith, but I believe the last I heard of him was when the VIN cards came out and he said they were not accurate? I am sure some on here would love to hear the "keep the Faith" or "we're not done yet" again with the refresh coming up!

I was just looking at the Motortrend App on my Ipad and they have pictures of a Mustang that looks like it is possibly the 2014. They have reshaped the rear quarter panel to have the Camaro curve to it, reshaped the small quarter window with a kick up at the back, they have made the side character lines to more resemble the early Mustangs and slightly changed the grill back towards the pre 2013 style.
Is this a old one or something new? They look sort of familiar to me...
If this is the 2014 Mustang, how many refreshes has it had since the Camaro came out?

You can refresh a Fugly Stang as many times as you want & it will still be FUGLY Stang...

That is motortrends speculation of what the 2015 Mustang might have looked like. that pictures is pretty old IIRC because I remember seeing that when I still got MT in the mail lol.

Mustang is not getting any more refreshes untill the 2015.

You had the 05-09, 10-12 and 13-14 before the all new 15

Camaro Team is always working...three guesses where most of their time and efforts are focused right now...

Typically, cars begin to drop in interest and sales naturally after about 3 or 4 years on the market, unchanged. The concept of a refresh should therefore, not be surprising.

If you look back on how great these years have been for Camaro in terms of sales, performance, and incremental changes based on customer input...I would only expect to see more of the same positive results from the team's efforst in this refresh.

They've got feedback from the disciples, from the larger market, and from their own observations on this site. As always - I'll bet $100 that half the people who see what has changed will be upset, and half will love it...and then, true to history, 3/4 of the half that hated it will grow to like the changes once they see the car in person...

I know I'm no Fbodfather - but I have had "Keep the Faith" in my signature since 2008 when it became clear to me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Camaro Team will always do good by their enthusiasts.

So I figure I'd give it a valiant try:

"Keep the Faith"....The passionate, and enthusiastic members of the Camaro team have not let us down before, and I don't believe they will, now.

Well let's look at this comment.

The Jay Leno Rockers (side skirts) are similar to what we see on the ZL1 right?
The chin spoiler (Splitter) is the same or very similar to that on the 1LE.
The grille is very similar to the ZL1.
The wheels are similar to the wheels on the Dusk edition.
The Spoiler looks a lot like the ZL1 spoiler as well.

Now let's look at the LS7 concept.
The Hood is the same as the hood on the 1LE.
The wheels are similar to the ones on the 45th Anniversary edition. (just a very slight difference)

With the rumor of an LS7 engine option I could easily see a Z/28 with a 1LE package as standard equipment with the Jay Leno front bumper and even the Leno rear diffuser and possible hood. And possibly the front and rear panels blacked out similar to the LS7 concept..

I keep coming back to all the things that were on the initial showing of the 1LE and Hot Wheels Camaros. Why did they not end up on the production versions? Could they have been saved for something else (Z**)?
