Keep whatever you come up with fed well and it should last a while
For sure. Obviously, a rear end will be necessary at some point, but I think I can make it last a little while after everything gets installed.

TT will put me over 1000 to the wheels
I got scared for a second and thought you toasted the bearings in your car. I had to read it twice.

Good point, i could have phrased it better. The dyno's bearing fried.

Waiting on 2 local shops to send me an estimate for a D1SC and an ECS setup(gonna choose between the 2) w/fuel system. Going to try and get this done within a few months. Thinking this will be the best option for what Im looking to do.

Have you talked to ECS about how their setup would work on your 427?

I'm assuming that is who you are waiting on to get you a quote, so what were their thoughts on using their setup on a big breathing 427?

The shop I talked to had called a few people up. The ECS was discussed along with the D1SC kit. Procharger told them that I would want to run the F1A. Its looking like the Vortech YsI setup will be what Im going to go with. At least, thats what it looks like right now. Hoping to have something finalized in a few weeks.

After further research and consulting with a few local guys/shops. Im starting to do some research into turbo kits. It comes down to this....

If I put a S/C on this thing. I will probably end up with a $40K burnout machine. Im afraid that if I go that route that it wont be street friendly and thats exactly what I dont want. I think, for the street, that a turbo kit may be the way to go. Granted, it will cost more in the end, but it will be more of what I am looking for out of the car.

Mines a Texas Speed 418 short block built by ETMC with stock heads, intake and rockers. 11-1 CR on 93 octane made 515hp 504tq on a 100* day. M6 car. I've been told that when boosting a high compression motor you can't run pump gas. So I would look into that some more. Jannetty just built a 416 YSI with 9.6-1 cr that made 881hp on 104 octane.

ECS kit with the Ysi IMO, or turbos.

I run an ECS Ysi setup, and it is great. Makes 900+rwhp without even trying.

Becareful with TSP I know a vette owner who ordered a engine direct from them, dropped it in and half a lap the engine blew because of their failure to assemble the engine correctly, that was over a year and a half ago , they are currently in court right now because TSP said they could never mess up a build and refused to cover it.

I aswell ordered a cam from them before knowing of said engine , cam was sent to me and ground wrong, meanwhile I sent them pictures of it mic'd had my shop call them and explain. No dice according to them " a cam is never ground wrong , it's your shop just tell them to shove it in the engine" from this moment I knew they were idiots . Had to Order a cam from comp cams to replace the old one and even to this day about 11 months later they still have yet to refund me or replace the cam even thought I sent it back to them!!

Good luck I hope you don't have the luck I had with them because they sure don't stand behind there products.
