When the c6 vett got the ls2 back in 05 they put the ls2 in the gto the same year. Before that they both had the ls1

I never said it was bad, I said it isn't as good on the drag strip as it is on the track. It's perfectly adequate on a drag strip it's just not as good as everyone was expecting...

I concur. 100% just my opinion with no facts to back it up, but I think the LT1 will be in the Corvette for atleast one or two full model years before it gets into the Camaro. LT1 is first going in the Corvette for 2014 so it won't be in the Camaro in 2014MY... if the 6th gen is really coming out in 2016MY as the rumors are, then it would just make sense to wait until 6th gen for the LT1 to join the Camaro.

GM spent a billion dollars developing the Gen V motors, if I was a large company, I would want to make that money back as soon as possible and also meet or exceed CAFE standards ahead of time. They sell a heck of a lot more Camaro's than vettes it can just be detuned for the Camaro so the vette guys don't cry about it.

I seriously doubt the new LT1 will go into the Camaro refresh; but you never know. Assuming production for the MY happens in June that would put a Camaro LT1 on the streets before the C7 and that aint gonna happen.
