hmm $600 for 2-3 years isn't bad, plus your protecting the paint at the same time? I wonder if year 3 looks as good as year 1 though. where are you getting this done? a paint shop or auto shop?

plasti-dip may be the thing of the future, but if i was going for a custom color, id just have it vinyled... vinyled is way more durable and removable. but im sure plasti-dip is great in its own way, but i wouldnt do it unless i could do it all myself so if somthing happens, i dont have to keep paying someone else to fix it.

You can do it yourself, you get the whole kit on dipyourcar.com it comes with the sprayer and everything. It's almost fool proof to install. Watch the video's. And it is easily removed. Yet very durable.

I plastidipped my entire car white almost a month ago and it still looks like the day I did it. It gets dirty easily but I just rinse it off with water and use a soft sponge with some soap and dirt comes off. Plus when you wash plastidip you dont have to worry about water spots anymore since they dont show on it.

I couldnt image pollen season on plastidip.
so your saying it last around 4 months and than starts to get dull ?

I think the plastidip attracts dust more than the vinyl. If you;re going to pay someone to do it I would plastidip it. A good wrap is $2000-$3000+.
well the best part about this is if I dont like it . I can take that thing off right away

It costs around ~300-400 for the DIY kit and is fairly straight forward. Cheaper than wrap and paint, you can repair it, it doesnt come off unless you are trying to remove it, you can gloss it a bit with glossifier, and its 100% removable.

Sounds like a no brainer to me. To those who think it "ruins" your car, how?
