I tried threading the new bolt in as you did, but then the scoop seemed like it would be unstable and I thought it was more stable up against the frame once I cut the nut off.
HOWEVER - since you made it work with no problems, cutting it off was probably a bad decision as it also pushed the scoop forward by the thickness of that nut and mine is really tight against the grill now. I suspect yours is probably a nicer fit.

I posted picture under v8 bolt on sale area I having problem with bracket and bolt to line up and the washer bottle bulging and te scoop and right against the lower grille thanks or look at my profile and search my post to find the thread

Mine was tight against the grill too. I found it was because the plastic was pushing the horn portion from behind because not enough was removed. If you only work through the fender well, you won't see it. Lie down and slide under from the front and look up at it.

I have a different washer bottle relocate (mine's attached to the back of my CAI instead of down where yours is). Sorry - I can't tell what's wrong.

Haha yes I do, gonna try to come out more this time. Was busy with school and work last year hopefully this time is better

Did u go with the one from Apex with the white tub that bolts to the scoop? Thats the one that came with my SC kit, the ROTO Fab one I had before that mounts on the battery terminal was a much cleaner and easier.

Ron I'm Sry about your loss. I don't think my friend works at a tire shop any more, but I'll ask. I'll keep eye open when I'm home. Will our rims fit anything else?
